Grave Silence

My heart cried out to the mountains, “Let me go!”
There’s a girl at the foothills waiting with high hopes.
Your hair cascades from the corners of my cheeks
Your breath breathes into my soul.

As a fairy peers out the window
She spreads her magic dust.
The toads gather to sing a simple song
The old green octopus tips his dear sombrero
And I fade into us.

There’s a right way and a wrong way
To loving you my dear
There’s a right way and wrong way to holding without fear
There’s a right way and a wrong way to loving you my dear.
And I, for me,
I did it wrong so now I’ll disappear.

Just when the moon sets,
And I’m traveling other roads.
I see you turn around to face me.
Hence, it happened to be nothing but just a dream and I fade back into the seams.

There’s a right way and a wrong way
To loving you my dear
There’s a right way and wrong way to holding without fear
There’s a right way and a wrong way to loving you my dear.
And I, for me,
I did it wrong so now I’ll disappear.

The lake brings forth more fish from the sea,
But there’s just one fish I can’t get off of me.
The fish has been hooked by another fisherman.
And that fish I’ll bet to never see again.

Because there’s a right way and a wrong way
To loving you my dear
There’s a right way and wrong way to holding without fear
There’s a right way and a wrong way to loving you my dear.
And I, for me,
I did it wrong so now I’ll disappear.

So one for the money, I loved you the most.
Two to get ready, but I held back what my heart said to the uttermost.
And three mistakes were left on my plate.

So I’ll drown in my tears, until I find a new lake.
